Controversy Rocks Pope’s Effort to Clean Up Vatican Bank

Controversy rocks pope’s effort to clean up Vatican Bank:

"Pope Francis’ decision to replace the Vatican secretary-of-state, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, a close friend of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, has prompted speculation among seasoned Vatican observers that the dismissal announced Friday was a fallout of efforts to reform the Vatican Bank. Secretary of state is arguably the most powerful Vatican office, second only to that of the pope."

Under Colossal Global Backlash, Obama Holds Off on Syria Strike - infowars.com:

“I will seek authorization for the use of force from the American people’s representatives in Congress. The country will be stronger if we take this course and our actions will be more effective,” said Obama."

This is an example of how freedom of the press works. At least, those elements of the press - (aka the Alternative Press) that are still free. David Rockefeller, one of the central bankers who is behind the conspiracy to destroy our country, thanked the establishment media for deliberately keeping the conspirator's plans for this country hidden from Americans:

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and their great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. The supra-national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries." - David Rockefeller (Source)

This quotation explains why The Bilderberg Group and The Council on Foreign Relations are  not household terms as familiar to Americans as Google, Microsoft, and Facebook.

"This is the Most Dangerous Time in Modern History"- Intelligence Insider Update

This is the most dangerous time in modern history-intelligence insider update - Doug Hagmann/canadafreepress.com:

"'We’re in the most dangerous time in modern world history and here’s why, here’s what’s happening,' stated my source deep within the spy world early this morning.'We’re seeing a combination of a nine-percent overall approval rating for intervention in Syria, or the absence of public support for the globalist plans by the Obama regime, the UK, the Saudis and other NATO allies. When have we seen this before, and what does history tell us? The increased likelihood of a false flag event larger and causing more public outrage than the alleged chemical weapons attacks.' My source continued, 'think Gulf of Tonkin, the Lusitania, even Pearl Harbor, use those as your historical guides for what we’re seeing today. Make no mistake, the global agenda has not changed,' he emphasized. 'When their primary plan backfires or meets resistance, they have alternate plans. In the coming days or weeks, we could see an event that will be horrendous enough to change that nine-percent backing.'"

What would it take to get America all gung-ho in favor of going to war with Syria? Another 9/11-style attack on America that could be traced to Syria would probably do it. If Doug Hagmann (or his 'insider source') is correct, something may be in the works right now to persuade Americans to support going to war with Syria.

I know that Obama's objective has little if anything to do with Syria itself. It is part of a bigger plan - yes, I dare call it a conspiracy! - to form a one world government under the United Nations. David Rockefeller once said: "We are on the verge of global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." (Source)

More quotes from U.S. traitors supporting a one world government:

"Today America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government." - Henry Kissinger (Source)

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one world government combining super capitalism and communism under the same tent, all under their control. Do I mean a conspiracy? Yes, I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, incredibly evil in intent." - Rep. Larry MacDonald, killed in Korean Air Lines 007, 1983 (source)

We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether the World Government will be achieved through consent or conquest." - Paul Warburg, author of Federal Reserve Act (Source)

The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element, in the larger centers has owned the government since the days of Andrew Jackson." - Franklin D. Roosevelt in letter to Colonel House, 1933 (Source)

"It seams to many of us, that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict, we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new world order. Pat Robertson has written in a book a few years ago that we should have a world government but only when the Messiah arrives. He wrote, literally, any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the devil. Well, join me. I'm glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan." - Walter Cronkite (Source)

And that's the way it is, August 30, 2013!

The Bible says:

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, to receive the mark in their right hand or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom, let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred, three score and six." - Revelation 13:16-18

"And the third angel followed them, saying with a load voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever. And they have no rest, day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." - Revelation 14:9-11

"Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day will not come except there come a falling away first, and the man of sin be revealed, the Son of Perdition, who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped." - 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4

A Holy War In South Dakota

Grappling over God: ‘Holy war’ in Dakotas:

"'Last week, billboards touting atheism suddenly appeared in seven different towns across South Dakota.
'Don’t believe in God? Join the club!' they proclaim. The billboard also provides an Internet address for the South Dakota Coalition of Reason’s website. That message didn’t sit too well with a Christian businessman in Sioux Falls. William Kreider, the owner of BSR Construction, considered the billboard an attack on God, so he decided to start a club of his own by erecting pro-God billboards to counter the atheist message. 'The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God,' his digital signs read, quoting Psalms 14:1."

Here is a sobering fact: atheists do not go to hell. That is because when an atheist dies he or she will be fully persuaded that their is a God, for they will meet him - they will meet Jesus Christ - face to face. Unfortunately, it will be too late for them. The Bible says:

"As it is appointed unto men once to die, and after that, the judgement." - Hebrews 9:27

A Word of Caution to Striking Fast Food Workers - You Can Be Replaced!

A word of caution to striking fast food workers:

"You can be replaced: McDonalds recently went on a hiring binge in the U.S., adding 62,000 employees to its roster. The hiring picture doesn’t look quite so rosy for Europe, where the fast food chain is drafting 7,000 touch-screen kiosks to handle cashiering duties. The move is designed to boost efficiency and make ordering more convenient for customers...Automation becomes more and more of an option as our technology advances continue to expand exponentially.  And automation usually is used to replace low-end, low-skilled workers – like those in fast food restaurants.  That’s an unfortunate truth."

I went to a grocery store recently, and when I got up to the check out stand, there was no checkers there. I looked around for a minute, and then a friendly man - all smiles - pointed me over to the 'self check out' stand and asked me if I needed assistance using it.

Isn't technology a wonderful thing? I know companies - like grocery stores and banks - say that these 'self checkout stands (or ATM's, in the case of banks) are for 'our customer's convenience. I don't believe that for one minute! Businessmen (and businesswomen) know that to stay competitive they have to cut costs to the bone - and one of the biggest costs to a business is labor.

I've worked most of my life in the food industry (and I never made $15 an hour!). For many years I worked on dairy farms. I remember years ago when dairy farmers were just starting to implement automation in their milking parlors. I was the lead milker, and I had a full time helper. I knew that once this automation was complete my helper's job was going to dry up. He was going to be fired. And I was going to do the job by myself - with a little help from the automatic take off machines!

The Bible says: "If a man will not work, neither should he eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10. But there is a difference between someone telling the government: "I will not work: you take care of me!" and someone who really wants to work and can't find a job. Or, in the case of the striking fast food workers, someone who is trying to support a family on a very low paying job, and has to work a second full time job just to make ends meet.

This is a real opportunity for Christians to put their faith into practice. And maybe those with gifts and talents in business and industry could forgo the trend to replace human workers with machines, and trust God to take care of their bottom line!

A Silenced World!

"We live in a noisy world." So says Dr. David P. Murray. There is so much going on in the world today. If you watch the news you are bombarded with stories of wars and rumours of wars, corruption, conspiracies, economic woes and terrorist threats.  It is good to take some time to reflect on what is important in life. As the Late Dr. Martin Lloyd Jones once said:

"Stop and ask yourself: 'What am I doing?' You will be dead long before this world will ever be put right. What therefore will happen to you?"

So I would like to invite you to turn off you TV (or Blue Ray player, IPhone, laptop, etc.), and spend an hour listening to Dr. David P. Murray preach on Romans 3:19: "Now we know that what things so ever the law saith, it saith to them that are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God."

The Game Changer: Syria Will Strike Israel Should U.S. Attack

The Game Changer: Syria Will Strike Israel Should U.S. Attack:

"Thus, let us assume that the United States, Britain, et. al. initiate a missile strike on targets in Syria in coming days. What will Assad do in response? According to a report by Steve Watson at Prison Planet, he’ll immediately direct his military to strike targets in Israel, just like Saddam Hussein did in the first Gulf War. But this time, the Israelis may not show the restraint they did in 1991. It could be a game changer for the middle east… and the world"

Ever since I read John Stormer's bood, None Dare Call It Treason, about America's involvement in the Vietnam War (war/conflict/police action, whatever!), I've been very skeptical about sending our troops to fight in foreign wars. (See my post: Communists in Congress: Just Count Them) The situation that is going on in Syria is no different.

But what about Israel? Should America go to war to defend Israel? Christians are being persecuted and even killed for their faith all over the world - especially in Muslim countries - so should America send our troops to defend a nation that denies our Lord Jesus Christ, while we sit back and ignore the cries of Christians in other countries who are being killed for their faith?

My best hope for the nation of Israel is that each person of Jewish descent (regardless of where they are currently living!) accept our Lord Jesus Christ not only as the Messiah prophesied repeatedly in the Old Testament - but as their personal Savior and Lord. But then I have the same hope for everyone living in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, America, and every other country around the world.

I still hold out hope for a national conversion to take place in Israel. If that happens - and it still may - then it wouldn't matter if every Arab country - and Russia from the North and China from the East - all gathered together to attack Israel. Because even if they prevailed and slaughtered every man, woman and child in Israel, their souls would be eternally secure with our Lord Jesus in heaven.

Former president Ronald Reagan once said "I turn back to your ancient prophets in the Old Testament and I find myself wondering if we're the generation that's going to see that come about. I don't know if you've noted any of those prophecies lately, but believe me, they certainly describe the times we are going through." (Source)

Things really do look like they are coming together in the Middle East like Hal Lindsey (The Late Great Planet Earth) and Dr. Tim LaHaye (of Left Behind fame) write about. I'm not so sure that is the way things are going to play out (all though I don't rule it out either!).

But I know one thing: what is true for all the rest of humanity, is true for the Jews: Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6) and also: "Neither is their salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby ye must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

The Mad Mad Mad World of Climatism: Mankind and the Climate Change Mania,

Here is a short excerpt from this great book:

“Welcome to the mad mad mad world of Climatism. It's a world of veggie meals and insect snacks, tiny cars, fluorescent bulbs, and carbon credits. It's a world where your children are measured by the size of their carbon footprint, rather than the content of their character. It's a world directed by global bureaucrats who are not accountable to any voter. It's a world of government subsidized and expensive wind, solar, and biofuel energy. The proponents of Climatism assert that all this, and more, is necessary if we are to save the planet.” page 45

Christian Woman Given Choice: Convert to Islam or Die!

Sentenced to death for a sip of water - NYPOST.com:

"More and more people join the crowd as they push me towards the home of the village headman. I recognize the house — it’s the only one that has a garden with grass growing in it. They throw me to the ground. The village imam speaks to me: I’ve been told you’ve insulted our Prophet. You know what happens to anyone who attacks the holy Prophet Mohammed. You can redeem yourself only by conversion or death."

Our Lord Jesus says:

"Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yolk upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yolk is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30

"Christ is meek, as opposed to the ferocity and bigotry of zealots. Take for example the false prophet Muhammed. The strength of his cause lies in the fact that he is not meek. He presents himself  before those he claims as disciples and says: 'Take my yolk upon you and learn of me, for I am neither meek nor lowly in heart; I will have no patience with you; there is my creed, or there is the scimitar. Death or conversion, whichever you please."

Congress Should Veto Obama's War

Congress Should Veto Obama's War | CNS News:

"'Congress doesn't have a whole lot of core responsibilities,' said Barack Obama last week in an astonishing remark. For in the Constitution, Congress appears as the first branch of government. And among its enumerated powers are the power to tax, coin money, create courts, provide for the common defense, raise and support an army, maintain a navy and declare war. But, then, perhaps Obama's contempt is justified. For consider Congress' broad assent to news that Obama has decided to attack Syria, a nation that has not attacked us and against which Congress has never authorized a war."

Why Christians Make Miserable Addicts

I have a confession to make: I don't always read every book or article that I recommend on this site. (This is especially true of my "Today in the News" feature). But I read every word of Heather Kopp's article Why Christians Make Miserable Addicts, published July 2, 2013 in the Huffington Post. In fact, I liked it so much I read it four times! I heartily recommend this article.

Like so many others in our society - Christians and non-Christians alike - I have my own struggles with addictions. Someone described addiction this way: "Imagine trying to live without air. Now imagine something worse!" (Source). I can relate to that. I can also relate to Heather Kopp's story. She says:

"As new creations in Christ we're supposed to have been set free from the power of sin, right? So to even admit that we have become addicted feels like a betrayal of Christ's work on the cross. Or worse, living proof that it didn't work."

She goes on to tell of being in treatment for alcoholism and hearing an addiction counselor say: "We're not bad people getting good, we're sick people getting well."

Ms. Kopp raised her hand and said: "But we can't become alcoholic unless we drink so isn't calling it a sickness or a disease just an excuse?" The counselor responded  by giving the analogy of a person who has lung cancer (after years of smoking cigarettes) or diabetes (after years of overeating). Yes the smoking and the overeating are sinful acts. But the lung cancer and the diabetes are medical conditions - diseases if you will - that need to be treated by a doctor.

But here is where the analogy breaks down. Addictions cause pain - tremendous pain. For the non-Christian addict (very generally speaking), their first concern is stopping the pain. They may feel a lot of guilt, but it is because of the harm they have done to others (family and friends, co-workers, themselves, etc).

The Christian addict knows (or should know!) that their biggest problem is not the pain they feel because of their addictive behavior. Their biggest problem is the fact that they have sinned against a Holy God. King David talked about this after committing adultery with Bathsheba, having her husband murdered to cover up his sin, and hiding his sin for a year: "Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in Thy sight." (Psalms 51:4).

And far from comforting themselves with the idea that they have a disease, the Christian addict sees their addiction as a big red flag telling them that their soul is in imminent danger. The Bible says:

"His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the chords of his sins." - (Proverbs 5:22)

I agree with Heather Kopp when she says:

"I'm not saying that prayer and repentance are never sufficient, or that God can't miraculously deliver an alcoholic to permanent sobriety. But taken alone, the label -- sin -- can keep people from reaching out for the kind of help they need."

I used to work in a hospital. One day while working on the psych ward, I saw a poem posted on the wall which I think every true addict can relate to. The title of the poem is Miss Heroin (although you can substitute heroin with your own addiction!):

Miss Heroin

"So now little man you've grown tired of grass
LSD, acid, cocaine and hash.
Then someone pretending to be a true friend,
Said, 'I'll introduced you to Miss Heroin.'

"Well, honey, before you start fooling with me,
Just let me inform you of how it will be.

"For I will seduce you and make you my slave,
I've sent men much stronger than you to their grave.
You think you could never become a disgrace,
And wind up addicted to poppy seed waste?

"You'll start inhaling me one afternoon,
You'll take me into your arms very soon.
And once I've entered deep down in your veins,
The craving will nearly drive you insane.

"You'll swindle your mother and just for a buck,
You'll turn into something vile and corrupt.
You'll mug and you'll steal for my narcotic charm,
And feel contentment when I'm in your arms.

"The day when you realize the monster you've grown,
You'll solomnly promise to leave me alone.
If you think you've got the mystical knack,
Then sweetie, just try getting me off your back!

"The vomit, the cramps, your gut tied in knots,
The jangling nerves screaming for just one more shot.
The hot chills, the cold sweats, the withdrawal pains,
Can only be cured with my little white grains.

"There's no other way, there's no need to look,
For deep down inside you will know you are hooked.
You'll desperately run to your pusher, and then
You'll welcome me back to your arm once again.

"And when you return, just as I foretold,
I know that you'll give me your body and soul.
You'll give up your morals, your conscience, your heart,
And you will be mine until death do us part."

How to Cripple Your State in 5 Easy Steps

Suicide Pact: How To Cripple Your State in 5 Easy Steps - nationalreview.com:

"It’s not just Texas eating the economic lunch of basket-case states such as California and New York. Kansas City saw about 9,500 new jobs created between May 2012 and May 2013 — every one of them on the Kansas side of the border, where residents and businesses enjoy a significant tax advantage thanks in part to the leadership of Governor Sam Brownback and Kansas conservatives."

Here are the 5 steps talked about in this article:

1. Make work  expensive
2. Attack lifetime savings
3. Run up your state's long term liabilities
4. Tax fanciful things
5. Don't just be crazy - be California crazy!

Same-Sex Marriage Trumps Religious Liberty in New Mexico

Same-Sex Marriage Trumps Religious Liberty in New Mexico:

"Earlier today, the Supreme Court of New Mexico ruled that the First Amendment does not protect a Christian photographer’s ability to decline to take pictures of a same-sex commitment ceremony—even when doing so would violate the photographer’s deeply held religious beliefs. As Elaine Huguenin, owner of Elane Photography, explained: 'The message a same-sex commitment ceremony communicates is not one I believe.' But New Mexico’s highest court, deciding an appeal of the case, today agreed with the New Mexico Human Rights Commission and ruled against Elane Photography, concluding that neither protections of free speech nor free exercise of religion apply."

It Is Time For Churches to Give Up Their Tax Exempt Status!

WaPo Assails Non-Profit Status for Churches, Rips Americans for Giving:

"The assault on America’s churches has begun, with commentators like Dylan Matthews of the Washington Post and Matthew Yglesias of Slate calling on the government to tax churches. 'Whichever faith you think is the one true faith, it’s undeniable that the majority of this church-spending is going to support false doctrines,' Yglesias wrote on Thursday. He added, 'upgrading a church’s physical plant doesn’t enhance the soul-saving capacity of its clergy.'"

The first amendmemt to the constitution says:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exersize therof..." (Source)

On the surface it seams that the first amendment to the constitution would support the tax exempt status of churches, but I think the time has come for churches to willingly give up that right. The church is not a building. It is not a bus, or a plane, or anything that can be bought with money. It is people who love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ and look for 'that blessed hope' (Titus 2:11-14) of his return.
