The Daily Spurgeon for Saturday, October 25, 2014

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"I picture myself standing at the bar of God. As the Lord liveth, the day of judgment is coming. You believe that? You are not an infidel; your conscience would not permit you to doubt the Scripture. Perhaps you may have pretended to do so, but you cannot. You feel there must be a day when God shall judge the world in righteousness. I see you standing in the midst of that throng, and the eye of God is fixed on you. It seems to you that he is not looking anywhere else, but only upon you, and he summons you before him; and he reads your sins, and he cries, 'Depart ye cursed into everlasting fire in hell!' My hearer, I cannot bear to think of you in that position; it seems as if every hair on my head must stand on end to think of any hearer of mine being damned."

Robotic Automation At McDonalds Inevitable

Robotic Automation At McDonalds Inevitable - arisplex.com

Excerpt from this Article:

"A labor union backed walkout by fast food workers across a number of major US cities has put the industry in a pickle. The workers are demanding an increase in their minimum wage to 15$ an hour, an increase of more than 100%., To offset the wage increases, companies would be required to dramatically increase food prices, an impossibility in the low cost, low margin fast food industry.  Robotics and other technologies make a second option possible, namely, finding ways to do the same work with fewer employees."

Read the Whole Bible in 2014! Tuesday, October 21, 2014

I'm going to try to read through the whole Bible this year. Why don't you join me? There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. The one I chose is Read the KJV Bible in One Year. So for today, let's read chapters  27-29 in he book of  Proverbs.

Note: If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible.
