O Canada. We - Americans - Stand On Guard For You!

Canada Day: On July 1, 1867 the nation [of Canada] was officially born when the Constitution act joined 3 provinces into 1 country." - mentalfloss.com

I remember hearing an American Navy Seal speak one time. He was a Canadian citizen who joined the U. S. military and went on to become a Navy Seal. He loved both America and Canada, but he also had a good sense of humor. He said "As a Canadian citizen serving in the United States military I can sing the Canadian National Anthem and really mean it!"

O Canada:

"O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee."

Seriously though, every true American knows that our brothers and sisters to the North have always been our closest friends and allies, and we stand on guard for each other!
