The Daily Puritan For Tuesday, December 30, 2014

"[Noah] feared the deluge, and therefore prepared the ark. And in the warning given to Noah, there is a more solemn warning given to us, to flee from the wrath to come,  which will sweep the world of  unbelievers into the pit of destruction."- Matthew Henry (1662-1714)

Video: Now ISIS Sets Sights On Israel - wnd.com

Excerpt from this article:

"A new video issued by ISIS contradicts the oft-repeated claim that the Islamic movement now controlling large portions of Iraq and Syria has no interest in the Palestinian jihad against Israel.
ISIS, which now calls itself the Islamic State after declaring the creation of a new caliphate, vows in the video: “Allah willing, we will continue to fight against the Israelis and their allies.”

The $2.6 Billion Dollar Welfare Payment That The U.S. Government Gives To Walmart - thedailysheeple.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Because Wal-Mart does not pay them enough money, hundreds of thousands of Wal-Mart employees enroll in Medicaid, food stamps and other social welfare programs.  Even though Wal-Mart makes enormous profits, they refuse to properly take care of their employees so the federal government has to do it.  And of course this is not just a Wal-Mart problem.  There are hundreds of other major corporations doing exactly the same thing."

The Great Betrayal: How American Sovereignty and Social Justice Are Being Sacrificed to the Gods of the Global Economy

Here is an excerpt from this great book:

"No site better captures yesterday's America than Detroit, forge and furnace of America's democracy. Detroit is the burned out case of American cities. The Empire of the Sun has its revenge. Japanese imports helped kill the city that built the weapons that destroyed the empire. Now grandsons of the soldiers of the imperial army work at high paying manufacturing jobs once held by the fathers of ten-dollar-an-hour retail clerks in Macomb County.

"But why blame the Japanese? We did it to ourselves. We Americans created a post war trading regime, in which, over 25 years, Japan bought 400,000 American cars while selling us 40 million Japanese cars, a ratio of 100:1. One president after another sat still while a third of America's greatest industry was shipped off to Japan...

"Americans no longer make their own cameras, shoes, radios, TVs, toys. A fifth of our steal, a third of our autos, half our machine tools, and two-thirds of our textiles are made abroad...

"The decline and fall of Middle America was neither preordained nor inevitable. It was engineered in Washington D.C. Wages have fallen and the standard of living of American families has stagnated because of a basic law: the law of supply and demand. The price of labor has been dropping because the supply of labor has exploded...

"Having declared free trade and open borders to be American policy, why are we surprised that corporate executives padlocked their plants in the Rust Belt and moved over seas?  Why keep your plants here when you can manufacture at a fraction of the cost abroad, ship your goods back, and pocket the windfall profits that come from firing $20 an hour Americans and hiring fifty-cent-an-hour Asians? A pair of Nikes that sells for $150 in the United States costs $5 in wages to make in Indonesia. Any wonder that Nike president Philip Knight is the fifth richest man in America, with $5.2 billion, while his Indonesian workers make 31 cents an hour?" (Emphasis mine)

Because Wal-Mart does not pay them enough money, hundreds of thousands of Wal-Mart employees enroll in Medicaid, food stamps and other social welfare programs.  Even though Wal-Mart makes enormous profits, they refuse to properly take care of their employees so the federal government has to do it.  And of course this is not just a Wal-Mart problem.  There are hundreds of other major corporations doing exactly the same thing. - See more at: http://www.thedailysheeple.com/the-2-6-billion-dollar-welfare-payment-that-the-u-s-government-gives-to-wal-mart_122014#sthash.GdvfYAoJ.dpuf

Alec Baldwin Lashes Out At The Late Andrew Breitbart - breitbart.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Since the cancellation of his low-rated NBC show “30 Rock,” Baldwin is probably best known for his homophobic death threats against a reporter, for hurling anti-gay slurs at a photographer, and for blaming Breitbart News (among a few others) for the end of his public career."

Mitch McConnell's New Senate Goal: Turn Republican Dial To Yes

Mitch McConnell's New Senate Goal: Turn Republican Dial To Yes - hotair.com

Excerpt from this article:

"As he prepares to guide Republicans out of the wilderness of the Senate minority, Senator Mitch McConnell, the incoming majority leader, knows his real problem is not corralling mavericks in his party like Senator Ted Cruz. It is persuading other Senate Republicans conditioned to voting no that it is time to vote yes. 'One of my challenges is to try to convince some of my members that passing an appropriations bill is a good thing, not a bad thing...'"
----------------------------------------------------

I'm sure Mark Levin was speaking of politicians like Mitch McConnell when he said:
Mark Levin once said:

"You should view these politicians with the deepest contempt you can possibly imagine.  What they are doing to this country, what they are doing to our finances - there is not a criminal in any federal prison, state prison, city or county jail with respect to financial crimes of any sort who collectively could have done the kind of damage that Barack Obama and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and yes, willing, timid, gutless Republicans have done to this country! To your future, to your children and your grandchildren. What they are doing is with malice and with forethought." (emphasis mine) (source)

Someone once wrote:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discover it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship and then  a monarchy." Helter Skelter Amid A Perfect Storm

Helter Skelter Amid A Perfect Storm - canadafreepress.com

Excerpt from this article:

"This is not a column, however, about the two police officers executed in cold blood, nor is it about the deaths of the two black men during (or consequential to) their encounters with white police officers. It is about something much bigger and much more nefarious in its origins. Most people are just not thinking big enough or refusing to see how the citizens of our nation have been, and continue to be, psychologically manipulated and carefully programmed into a planned state of chaos, followed by order through more centralized oppression. Americans are about to be caught in a perfect storm created by the global power brokers."
