The Big Lie: Lunch (and Debt) Are Free!

The Big Lie: Lunch (and Debt) Are Free! - lewrockwell.com

Excerpt from this article:

"There are two free lunches, according to our financial and political leaders: free money, in the form of money created out of thin air by the Fed, and almost-free money borrowed into existence by the Federal government. With the Fed’s free lunch, trillions of dollars are created and distributed to banks and those who can borrow this free money for next to nothing. In the Federal government’s almost free lunch ... the central state borrows and blows essentially limitless sums on favored cartels and constituencies: sickcare, global empire, bridges to nowhere, etc."
----------------------------

Mark Levin, who is also a Constitutional scholar, said recently:

"You should view these politicians with the deepest contempt you can possibly imagine.  What they are doing to this country, what they are doing to our finances - there is not a criminal in any federal prison, state prison, city or county jail with respect to financial crimes of any sort who collectively could have done the kind of damage that Barack Obama and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and yes, willing, timid, gutless Republicans have done to this country! To your future, to your children and your grandchildren. What they are doing is with malice and with forethought." (emphasis mine) (source)

The Daily Spurgeon - Thursday, November 28, 2013

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"Justin Martyr was asked ironically by the Roman prefect if he believed that after his decapitation he would ascend into heaven. He replied: 'I am so sure of the grace which Jesus Christ hath obtained for me that not a shadow of a doubt can enter my mind." From Spurgeon's Sermon Notes

Evolution & Lies in the Textbooks

Texas Education Board Sanctions Textbooks that Endorse Evolution - christiannews.net

Excerpt from this article:

"The Texas Board of Education has endorsed science textbooks that sanction evolution and no longer include scientific criticism of evolutionary theory."

----------------------------------

So the devil has won another round in the public schools in Texas. But not so fast. OK, the school kids can't be taught creation science, the theory of Intelligent design and Irreducible complexity. And they can't hear any criticism of the state-sponsored religion - evolution. Fine. But let's at least make sure that what the students are reading is factual (or as factual as they can be considering the textbooks are inspired by the father of lies himself!)

British pastor of the 1800s Charles Spurgeon (1934 - 1892) would not be surprised at this news story. He would be saddened, but not surprised. He said once:

"That old truth that Calvin preached, that Augustine preached, that Paul preached, is the truth that I must preach today or be false to my conscience and my God. I cannot shape the truth. I know of no such thing as paring off the rough edges of doctrine. John Knox's gospel is my gospel. That which thundered through Scotland must thunder through England again!" "I Work At McDonalds, But I Can't Afford to Eat There!"

"I Work At McDonalds, But I Can't Afford to Eat There!" - zerohedge.com

Excerpt from this article:

"For Shawndraka Mack, a 100% pay rise from her current $7.60 'would do just fine.' While some employees turn to blood plasma donation, and most are on food stamps (and other benefits), the mother of two teenagers (on Medicaid) told Bloomberg Businessweek, 'I love what I do, but I don’t want to work for nothing.' Between the 40 hours a week she works and the benefits, Mack explains, 'I work at McDonald’s and I can’t afford to eat there. It’s crazy'.”
----------------------

If McDonald's raises the wages of all their employees to $15 an hour, none of the rest of us will be able to eat there either. And then McDonald's will go out of business. And then all those workers at McDonald's would be out of work. That's the bad news.

But the good news is this: If McDonald's goes out of business, because they can't afford to pay their employees $15 an hour and still make a profit, that would leave a very big market to be filled by potential entrepreneurs who may want to start their own fast food joint. Of course, these entrepreneurs would want to pay their employees at least $15 an hour to start, so their burgers might be a little pricey!

CDC Sees Big Spike in Unprotected Sex for Gay Men

CDC Sees Big Spike in Unprotected Sex for Gay Men - newser.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Lots of gay men in America are taking a dangerous leap of faith, says the CDC. The agency reports a big increase in the number of men having unprotected anal sex—from 48% of gay and bisexual males in 2005 to 57% last year, reports HealthDay News. What's more, about a third of the men surveyed hadn't been tested for HIV within the past year."
------------------------------

It's not hate speech to warn a driver that the bridge is out and that if they don't turn around they are going to drive off the cliff and plunge into the river below. True hate speech would be for a person to know that the bridge is out, see a car coming, and smile and wave at them as they go speeding toward the cliff! That is exactly what liberal Christian ministers do when they refuse to preach on sin, judgment and hell!

According to AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Aids was first noticed in the early 1980s in New York, California, and Uganda among young gay men. But by the mid-1980s it was being reported from locations from around the world.

By 1983 the late Rev. Jerry Falwell (of Moral Majority fame) came out publicly debating that Aids was "God's Punishment for Homosexuality." And pastor Falwell was not alone. Conservative (aka Bible believing) pastors and lay people from around the world were drawing the same conclusions. The quoted from Romans 1:26-27, which says:

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet." (emphasis mine).

The horrors of the Aids epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s seam to be forgotten as same-sex marriage becomes the law of the land. And it may be that the article I cited above from the CDC is just a hint of what is to come in the near future. Remember what the Bible says:

"Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7)

Christians should never be involved in hate speech (like the hateful people at Westboro Baptist Cult with their ridiculous godhatesfags.com website! See: Russell Brand Hosts the Westboro Baptist Church, by Pastor David McManus). But God is going to hold us accountable for telling people that the bridge is out! (See Ezekiel 33:6, 8 & 11).

The 10 Most Important Chapters in the Bible

The Daily Spurgeon - Tuesday, November 26, 2013

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"When Dr. James W. Alexander was dying, his wife sought to comfort him with precious words, as she quoted them to him: 'I know in whom I have believed.' Dr. Alexander at once corrected her by saying, 'not in whom I have believed,' but 'I know whom I have believed.' He would not even suffer a little preposition to get between his soul and his Savior." The Council on Foreign Relations: The Key to Understanding What is Going on in America Today

Former Vice President Dick Cheney is also a former Director of the Council on Foreign Relations. The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is key to understanding what is going on in the world, and especially America right now. And to find out more about the CFR you don't want to look just to their official website, but rather to a small book that was published in 1971 (and is now available for free online) titled: None Dare Call It Conspiracy.

In today's edition of Canada Free Press, Doug Hagmann reports the following about the CFR:

"It is interesting to note that earlier that same year [1974], an article appeared in the Council on Foreign Relations quarterly publication Foreign Affairs titled 'The Hard Road to World Order.' It was written by Richard N. Gardner who wrote the following:

'In short, the 'house of world order' will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down. It will look like a great “booming, buzzing confusion,” to use William James’ famous description of reality, but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault. Of course, for political as well as administrative reasons, some of these specialized arrangements should be brought into an appropriate relationship with the central institutions of the U.N. system, but the main thing is that the essential functions be performed.'”

Pravda Asks: Can We De-Americanize the World?

New Global Challenge: Can We De-Americanize the World? - english.pravda.ru

Excerpt from this article:

"October 2013 will be a month to remember, like September 2001. A few countries, bravely following Vladimir Putin and the proud and convincing Russian leadership, decided to awaken and to behave like nations, not courtiers. New China has finally decided to challenge the authoritarian agenda of the global American dictator and has declared its intention to de-Americanize the world."
---------------------------------

I would suggest that President Obama, along with the liberals in congress (Republicans and Democrats!), as well as the liberal mainstream news media, have been working very hard to "De-Americanize" the world.

'An Outrageous Notion': 'Science Guy' Bill Nye's New Warning Against Teaching Kids About Creationism

'An Outrageous Notion': 'Science Guy' Bill Nye's New Warning Against Teaching Kids About Creationism - theblaze.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Scientist Bill Nye isn’t one to mince words about his views on creationism and evolution. The former host of the 'Bill Nye the Science Guy' television program recently weighed in on the debate in Texas surrounding public school textbooks, calling it 'a very serious matter' and stating that young earth creationism shouldn’t be taught to schoolchildren."

Bible Reading for Today - Monday, November 25, 2013

"Then went the Pharisees and took counsel on how they might entangle him in his talk. And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. Tell us therefore, what thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. And he saith unto them, whose is this image and superscription? And they said, Caesars. Then saith he unto them, Render unto Caesar, the things which are Caesars, and unto God the things which are Gods." - Matthew 22:15-21

Atheist Activists' Big Legal Win Against the IRS Could Spell Major Trouble for Clergy Salaries - theblaze.com*

Excerpt from this article:

"This portion of the tax code says that “a minister of the gospel” — pastors, rabbis, imams and others – does not have to include in gross income the rental value of a home given to him or her as part of compensation. The code also specifies that a rental allowance paid to the individual as part of compensation does not need to be counted toward gross income."

*I link to stories from time to time that appear on theblaze.com, but I am always a little uneasy when I do it. The Blaze is owned by Glen Beck, who is a Mormon. And the last thing I want my readers to think is that the gospel that I try to proclaim on this web site has anything at all to do with the gospel proclaimed by the Mormon church. Nevertheless, because Glen Beck is willing to report on news stories that the liberal press - and to a lesser extent, even Fox News - won't report on, I check out his site on a regular basis, especially when doing research for my Today in the News feature (see my posts: What Do Dr. Tim LaHaye and Glen Beck Have In Common, and Glen Beck: Impeach Obama and GOP Stars)
