According to CNN:
"People in the Philippines struggle to grasp the enormity of what they
lost to Typhoon Haiyan and challenges they still face. The death toll
may hit 10,000."
And Samaritan's Purse reports:
"Officials fear that up to 10,000 people could be dead in the city of
Tacloban alone. Reports indicate that almost 650,000 people have been
displaced."
