Although I have never met Joni she has been a great inspiration to me. Back in the 1990s, I worked for 18 months as a caregiver for a quadriplegic. The man I cared for was not a Christian and his reaction to being paralyzed was radically different than Joni's. He drank himself into a stupor every day. And the emotional pain that he went through must have been truly unbearable.
No doubt lift has not been easy for Joni. But she has gone on to live a full life of Christian service and has been an inspiration to millions. And one day, just like every other follower of our Lord Jesus, she will get her glorified resurrection body, and Jesus will wipe away every tear from her eyes!
