Famine Declared in South Sudan, 100,000 People Facing Death, Another Million on Verge of Starvation - nationalpost.com
Excerpt from this article:
"A severe food shortage has deteriorated into a famine in two
counties in South Sudan, the government and United Nations announced
Monday, with 100,000 people facing starvation.
Joyce Luma, head of the World Food Program in South Sudan, called the
famine 'man-made,' blaming it on political turmoil in a country
engulfed in civil war since late 2013."

The Bible says:
"Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard." - Proverbs 21:13
There are 3ways Christians can help the people in South Sudan:
1. Pray for them.
2. Let your elected representative know you are concerned, and that you want our country to use whatever influence we have to see that this 'man made' crises comes to an end.
3. Prayerfully consider whether God would have you support agencies that are actively involved in helping the people in South Sudan. I recommend Samaritan's Purse!
