What is an Evangelical? There are 2 related definitions that I like for the word Evangelical. The first is simply a person who believe the Bible - and only the Bible - is the infallible, inspired and inerrant Word of God. These are people that not only believe the miracles in the Bible like Jesus rising from the dead and Jonah spending 3 days inside a 'great fish,' but also take seriously the Sermon on the Mount and Jesus admonition to his followers to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves."
