Six More Women Allege That Roger Ailes Sexually Harassed Them

Six More Women Allege That Roger Ailes Sexually Harassed Them - nymag.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Fox News host Gretchen Carlson may be the highest-profile woman to accuse Roger Ailes of sexual harassment, but she is not the first. In my 2014 biography of the Fox News chief, I included interviews with four women who told me Ailes had used his position of power to make either unwanted sexual advances or inappropriate sexual comments in the office....In recent days, more than a dozen women have contacted Carlson’s New Jersey-based attorney, Nancy Erika Smith, and made detailed allegations of sexual harassment by Ailes over a 25-year period dating back to the 1960s when he was a producer on The Mike Douglas Show."

Years ago a female coworker of mine - who was a nurse in the Army Reserve - said the Army has a saying: "If you like the guy, it's flirting. If you don't, it's sexual harassment." That probably has a nugget of truth to it. (Although I'm not recommending the new movie Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, it does lend some credence to what my coworker said!)

But former president (and possible future 'First Man') Bill Clinton has set the bar pretty high when it comes to sexual harassment. Political pundit Ann Coulter wrote about Bill Clinton's sexual harassment while he was still president:

"If it is wrong to talk about pornographic movies to female subordinates, it is wrong to drop your pants and say, 'Kiss it' to female subordinates."

and

"Though [Bill Clinton] once had sweet nothings to whisper in her ear, after Gennifer Flowers told the world of her affair with Bill Clinton, he reportedly denounced her to his troopers in terms unbecoming of the president who claims credit for the Violence Against Women Act. He called her a 'F----g slut,' and demanded to know 'What does that whore think she's doing to me?'" - High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, by Ann Coulter
