I'm not a "Tea Partier." I'm a conspiracy theorist. There's a difference (see my post: A Sixty Second Seminar on Conspiracy Theory). But one area where I agree with the Tea Party people is there concern for the Constitution. Because the issue is this: Do we Pledge Allegiance to the President of the United States? Or do we Pledge Allegiance to the Flag (and all that it represents, including a constitutional republic in which all elected officials - the President included - are bound to uphold)?
People who hold to the conspiracy theory of history are skeptical about Obama's Birth Certificate, 911, the Sandy Hooke Massacre, Malaysian Flight MH370, Immigration Reform, and the government in general.
