I'm going to try to read through the whole Bible this year. Why don't
you join me? There are many different websites that offer reading plans
to read the Bible in a year. The one I chose is Read the KJV Bible in One Year. So for today, let's read chapters 1 - 3 of Genesis.
Special verse(s):
Genesis 1
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." - Genesis 1:1
Genesis 2
"And God blessed the seventh day, and
sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which
God created and made." - Genesis 2:3
Genesis 3
"And I will put enmity between thee and
the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head,
and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto
the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And
unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy
wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying,
Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." - Genesis 3:15-19
Note:
If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible
to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible.
