Presbyterian Church Fights For Its $6M Property In Its Legal Battle With PCUSA After Split Over Homosexuality

Presbyterian Church Fights For Its $6M Property In Its Legal Battle With PCUSA After Split Over Homosexuality - christianpost.com

Excerpt from this article:

"PCUSA argues that they rightfully own the Bonhomme property due to a provision in the denomination's Book of Order known as the 'Trust Clause.' According to the PCUSA Book of Order G-4.0203, the trust clause states that 'All property held by or for a particular church … is held in trust nevertheless for the use and benefit of the Presbyterian Church (USA).'"
-----------------------

First, kudos to the Bonhomme Presbyterian Church for leaving the PCUSA. But what took you so long? And second, my advice to your congregation is to let the PCUSA have the $6M "Church" (notice that I put "Church" in quotations).  The church is not a building, it is the Bride of Christ. It is made up of men and women and boys and girls from Adam and Eve to the last person saved.

The Bible says:

"Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?"  1 Corinthians 6:7
