There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one: Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me chapters 8-10 in the book of Romans:
Special verses:
"For I reckon that the
sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with
the glory which shall be revealed in us." - Romans 8:18
"And we know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
"For whom he did
foreknow , he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image
of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many
brethren.
Moreover whom he
did predestinate , them he also called : and whom he called ,
them he also justified : and whom he justified , them he also
glorified." - Romans 8:29,30
"For I am persuaded
, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present , nor things to come, Nor height, nor
depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38,39
"So then it is not of him that willeth , nor of him that runneth , but of God that sheweth mercy .
For the scripture
saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised
thee up , that I might shew my power in thee, and that my
name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth .
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault ? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man,
who art thou that repliest against God ? Shall the thing
formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Hath not the
potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one
vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
What if God,
willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known ,
endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to
destruction:
And that he might
make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy,
which he had afore prepared unto glory..." - Romans 9:16-23
"That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved .
10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - Romans 10:9,10
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17
