Bible Reading for Saturday, October 1, 2016

There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one:  Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me Chapters 96-102 in the book of Psalms. (Note: The Psalms are not actually divided into 'chapters'. The Psalms were the hymnbook of the Jewish people 3000 years ago. But they still speak to us today!)

Special Verses:

"For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked." - Psalms 97:9,10

"Make joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." - Psalms 100:1-5

Here are some lings to the lyrics of hymns based on Psalm 9699.

Sing, Sing a New Song to Jehovah based on Psalm 98
I Will Enter His Gates based on Psalm 100.

Note: If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible Daily.
