Bible Reading for Thursday, October 6, 2016

There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one:  Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me Chapters 119 in the book of Psalms. (Note: The Psalms are not actually divided into 'chapters'. The Psalms were the hymnbook of the Jewish people 3000 years ago. But they still speak to us today!)

Special Verses:

"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." - Psalm119:9-11

"I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts." - Psalm 119:63

"It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes." - Psalm 119:71

"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." - Psalm 119:89

"O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day." - Psalm 119:97

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." - Psalm 119:105

"Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." - Psalm 119:133

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." -Psalm 119:165

Here are some hymns that have patterned after Psalm 119:

Note: If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible Daily.
