Ohio Pastor Tells Trump: Chicago's Top Gang Bangers Want to Work With You to Lower the Body Count

Ohio Pastor Tells Trump: Chicago's Top Gang Bangers Want to Work With You to Lower the Body Count -Townhall.com

Excerpt from this article:

"I was recently contacted by some of the top gang thugs in Chicago for a sit down. They reached out to me because they associated me with you. They respect you, they believe in what you're doing and they want to have a sit down about lowering that body count,' Scott said. 'They said we gotta lower that body count, they don't want to talk about anything but getting that body count down and they agreed on principles that can do it, these are guys straight from the streets, no politicians, straight street guys but they're going to commit that if they lower that body count, we can come in with some social programs."

I have a friend of mine who is from the country of Romania. He escaped from that country while it was still a part of the Soviet Union. One day I was talking to him about what it was like in Romania, back when it was part of the Soviet Union. He said what he remembers most is the unbelievable hatred in people's eyes. They had endured so much terror and oppression under communist rule that they just had incredible anger built up inside of them. And you could see it in their eyes!

I have to wonder if that is not what is behind all the shootings and death in Chicago (as well as other parts of America). People have endured so much crime, so much violence and so much injustice that they are almost going insane with anger.

I'm all in favor of Gang leaders meeting with President Trump to see what can be done to create safer neighborhoods. And I think Mr. Trump may be the right person at the right time to make a positive change.

But even if Chicago becomes the safest city in the world, we're still all one heartbeat away from eternity. All it takes is a heart attack, a stroke, an accident at work...Dr. Martin Lloyd jones (1899-1980) once said:

"This life has got to end, and your soul will go on. What therefore will happen to you?"

I Saw the Dead, by Dr. David P. Murray

This somber gospel sermon is based on the following Biblical text:

Revelation 20:11-15

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
