Green Death 101: How to Die in an Eco-Friendly Way (Video) - msn.com
----------------------------------
One of my hobbies is reading obituaries. I find it interesting to read about what people did with their life. But my main interest is on whether there is any mention of God or our Lord Jesus in the obituary.
So often an obituary is filled with several paragraphs of the deceased person's accomplishments - the education they had, military service, businesses they ran, political and civic offices they held, charities and causes they were a part of- and not one word about God. What a wasted life!
The Bible says, "As it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgement." - Hebrews 9:27.
I don't agree with the video about that we should practice cremation rather than having our dead bodies filled with chemicals that could leak out and harm the environment. Cremation is a pagan idea that says, "When I die, that's all their is." No. There is a God to face and an eternity to spend somewhere - either in heaven or in hell.
As Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones once said, "This life has got to end and your soul will go on. What therefore will happen to you?" Why don't you listen to the following sermons as you move closer and closer to that day when your obituary appears in some newspaper?

Lies Told at Funerals, by Rev. Roger Higginson
The text for this sermon is...
"So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand."
How to Benefit from a Funeral, by Dr. David P. Murray
The Text for this seconed sermon is Ecclesiastes 7:2,3 (Audio):
"It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better."
