Years ago I was in a Bible study and the topic were were studying was: The Christian and Rock music. We were going to start watching the "Rockumentary" by Pastor Joseph M. Schimmel titled: They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll. This video series was an expose of the rock music industry, and Pastor Schimmel was strongly encouraging Christians to have nothing to do with Rock music.
After only one hour into this 10 hour video series one of the men in the Bible study asked if we could turn it off. He said he totally agreed with the message Pastor Schimmel was trying to convey, but he said he felt defiled just watching this documentary.
You can see some of this video series on You Tube ( They Sold their Souls for Rock and Roll, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4), or you can purchase the entire 10 hour series from Good Fight Ministries (They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll).
Or, and I really encourage you to take this option, you can hear the same message Pastor Schimmel was trying to convey (without the graphic images) in the short message by Rev. Peter McIntyre:
The Christian and Pop Music
