Amos 3 by Rev. Cornelis Pronk (Text; Amos 3:8; Preached in 1978)
Just
a note about this sermon. This sermon was preached by Rev. Cornelis
Pronk in 1978. The text he uses is Amos 3:8: "The lion hath roared, who
shall not fear. The Lord God hath Spoken, who can but prophecy?"
In
the past people have tried to claim that God is sending his judgment on
certain areas that are affected by disasters like Hurricane Matthews.
Rev. Pronk says we should never do that. Still, he says, and I agree
with him on this, that when these disasters occur, it should cause us to
stop and ask ourselves, "What is God saying to us in the disaster?"
