There are 2 things going on here: One, there are super rich people - those who think the world population should be under 500,000,000, and even those people should be controlled by a very small super-rich elite. Two: There are millions of poor - yes, even super poor - people around the globe that are crying out for help.
Christians need to be wise as serpents in dealing with this first crowd - every last one of them should be rounded up and put into prison and their assets sold off and given to the poor. But we need to open up our hearts to this latter group. The late Dr. Lewis Smedes had this to say:
"A baby born, though no choice of her own, into a poverty-stricken family, has a right to nourishing food, a warm bed, and loving care. But as she grows, she also has a need to flourish as a human being.
