"What's your hope on that day? Will you take that coat of the church and put it over your head? It'll be burned up. Will you take that garment of baptism to cover you? Will you take the robe of your confirmation and cover yourself up with it? What about your good works? Put them on. They cannot resist the fire of God.
"The only thing that can resist the fire of God is the soul that's washed in the precious blood of the Lamb. Your hope has to be in the finished work of Christ and the precious shed blood of the Lamb.
"If you come to the Lord as a Free Presbyterian it will be burned up like that. It will just be swept away. Nothing but the blood of Jesus can give me protection in the day of wrath."
