Egypt Christians Killed for Not Paying 'Jizya' Tax

Egypt Christians Killed for Not Paying 'Jizya' Tax - World - CBN News - Christian News 24-7 - CBN.com:

"Muslims in southern Egypt killed two Christian men for failing to pay them protection money. Muslims in the area are demanding Christians pay them "jizya," a kind of tax that Islamic law requires religious minorities to pay Muslims. However, the tax is so high many Christians simply can't afford it."

Crucified Again: Christians on Frontlines of Muslim Violence

Crucified Again: Christians on Frontlines of Muslim Violence:

"As Egypt’s Islamists blame Christians for the ouster of Mohammed Morsi, anti-Christian violence has reached epidemic levels, with an estimated 82 churches across Egypt attacked and heavily damaged by pro-Morsi supporters in a mere 48 hours. Unfortunately, the persecution of Christians is nothing new in Egypt or other Muslim-majority countries. But thanks to the mainstream media, few Westerners understand the true scale or nature of the horrors involved."

22 Reasons Why Starting World War 3 In The Middle East Is A Really Bad Idea

22 Reasons Why Starting World War 3 In The Middle East Is A Really Bad Idea:

"While most of the country is obsessing over Miley Cyrus, the Obama administration is preparing a military attack against Syria which has the potential of starting World War 3.  In fact, it is being reported that cruise missile strikes could begin 'as early as Thursday'."

Who Owns the Future?

Patrick Buchanan: "Who Owns the Future?"

Excerpt:

"In the near term, bet on men with guns...the Brotherhood is in disarray. It backed the Arab Spring, heeded America's call for free elections, and won parliament and the presidency, only to have the army, with America's backing, overthrow its Islamist Government in a military coup."

After Friday Prayers, Bloodshed Breaks Out In Egypt

After Friday prayers, bloodshed breaks out in Egypt | McClatchy:

"Several cities across Egypt erupted into fierce street battles Friday between supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi outraged over the deaths of hundreds at sit-ins earlier this week, residents and security forces. Health Ministry officials said that at least 60 people died, pushing the death toll toward 700 since armed government forces swept into two camps of pro-Morsi demonstrators Wednesday."

The Brotherhood's War on Egyptian Christians

The Brotherhood's War on Egyptian Christians:

"The list of churches and Christian institutions attacked by the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters in Egypt is growing. The most recent count is over 50. Those are the ones we know about."

This would be a nice time to follow Ann Coulter's "Post 9/11" advice: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity." Or, as a more reasonable alternative, offer asylum to all the Christians in Egypt and follow Sarah Palin's Advice on Syria: "Let Allah Sort it Out!"

With little argument, House limits U.S. military involvement in Syria, Egypt | McClatchy:

"With little argument, the House of Representatives approved measures Wednesday that would prevent the Obama administration from spending money on U.S. military operations in Syria without consulting Congress and would forbid funding U.S. military or paramilitary operations in Egypt."

Egypt in the News

Patrick Buchanan: Vital Interests vs. Democratic Ideals:

"Understandably, the Muslim Brotherhood is enraged. Having won the presidency of Egypt in free and fair elections after the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak, President Mohammed Morsi has been ousted in a military coup and placed under house arrest. Brotherhood leaders, convicted of no crimes, are being rounded up. They played by America’s rules. Now, with America’s blessing, they are being locked up by America’s friends in Egypt’s armed forces. Nor is this the first perceived betrayal. When Hamas won the free elections demanded by George W. Bush, America refused to recognize their legitimacy and plotted the violent overthrow of Hamas in Gaza."
