The Voice of the Martyrs presents this cinematic retelling of the testimony of VOM founder Pastor Richard Wurmbrand as written in his international bestseller Tortured for Christ. This movie was produced to honor the 50th anniversary of the book's 1967 release.
Pastor Richard Wurmbrand suffered 14 years of imprisonment and brutal torture, while his wife, Sabina, was treated as a slave in a labor camp. Their only "crimes" were their faith and witness for Jesus Christ. Through it all, they loved their enemies and sought to win their torturers for Christ.
Filmed entirely on location in Romania, including in the very prison where Richard endured torture and solitary confinement, this is the cinematic retelling of one of the most powerfully inspiring and historically significant testimonies of all time. Approx. 77 minutes.
Please note that due to the depictions of the experiences of Richard Wurmbrand as a prisoner for the Faith under Communism, this program is not recommended for children.

By Richard Wurmbrand / Voice Of The Martyrs

After suffering 14 years in underground prison cells, months in solitary confinement, and years of physical torture, Wurmbrand exposed the persecution of Christians by atheistic Communist governments---and his testimony shocked the world. A stunning account of unshakable courage and steadfast faith! 169 pages, black imitation leather from Voice of the Martyrs.

The Memorial To The Victims Of Communism At Sighet

The Memorial To The Victims Of  Communism At Sighet - canadafreepress.com

Excerpt from this article:

"With funds from the Civic Academy Foundation, the International Centre for Studies of Communism, and the untiring efforts of Ana Blandiana and Romulus Rusan, the former prison became the first museum of its kind in the world, dedicated to the victims of communism in Romania and in all former communist countries of the Iron Curtain. Each cell became a separately themed room with its own chronology of death and destruction of the human body and spirit caused by the most oppressive form of dictatorship in history—communism."
