Spotlight: A Review

I don't often recommend movies - in fact, I recommended people not watch them (See Dr. David P. Murray's great sermon: Should Christians Watch Movies?)

But Spotlight is a great movie that needs to be watched - both by Christians and non-Christians. For a great review of this movie, check out:

Spotlight Joins 'All the President's Men' in the Pantheon of Great Journalism Movies'

Excerpt from this article:

"It’s not a stretch to suggest that “Spotlight” is the finest newspaper movie of its era, joining “Citizen Kane” and “All the President’s Men” in the pantheon of classics of the genre."
--------------------------

The message of "Spotlight" is twofold:

1.  It is never OK to abuse a child (sexually or otherwise)
2.  It is never OK to cover up abuse of a child

Our Lord Jesus says:

"It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." - Luke 17:1,2
