There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one: Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me chapters 1-5 in the book of 1 Peter.
Special verses:
"That the trial of your faith,
being much more precious than of gold that perisheth , though it
be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and
glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ..." - 1 Peter 1:7
"Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls." - 1 Peter 1:9
"Forasmuch as ye know
that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver
and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from
your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot..." - 1 Peter 1:18,19
"Being born again ,
not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of
God, which liveth and abideth for ever." - 1 Peter 1:23
"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby..." - 1 Peter 2:2
"Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul..." - 1 Peter 2:11
"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme..." - 1 Peter 2:13
"Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king." - 1 Peter 2:17
"Who his own self
bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we , being
dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes
ye were heale." - 1 Peter 2:24
"For he that will love life,
and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil,
and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
For the eyes of
the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their
prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." - 1 Peter 3:10-12
"But sanctify the
Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer
to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in
you with meekness and fear." - 1 Peter 3:15
"And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." - 1 Peter 4:8
"God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober , be
vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about , seeking whom he may devour." - 1 Peter 5:5-8

have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read
along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and
