There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one: Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me chapters 4-6 in Ephesians.
Special verses:
"Be ye angry , and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath..." - Ephesians 4:26
"And be ye kind
one to another , tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as
God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." - Ephesians 4:32
"But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient : but rather giving of thanks.
For this ye know
, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man,
who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of
Christ and of God." - Ephesians 5:3-5
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle
not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take
unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand .
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." - Ephesians 6:10-18
Note: If you
have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read
along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible Daily.
