Bible Reading for Monday, April 4, 2016

There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one:  Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me Chapters 8-11 in the book of Genesis.

What is SOHLS? And what does it have to do with California. SOHLS, stands for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, which have been observed since 1983 "as a day to commemorate the sanctity of human life." To find out what this may have to do with California, read the following two articles:

While physical drought is a terrible thing, there is a drought that is much worse. The Bible says:

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, or of thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it." - Amos 8:11,12
