Bible Reading for Wednesday, November 16, 2016

There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one:  Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me Chapters 18-22 in the book of Jeremiah

Special verses:

"And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it." - Jeremiah 18:4

Here is a sermon on Jeremiah 18:4

The Potter and the Clay, by George Whitefield (1714-1770)

"At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy itIf that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them." - Jeremiah 18:7-8

Here is a sermon on Jeremiah 18: 7 & 8:

National Sins and National Judgments: The Preparative Cause of Ruin for Jerusalem, by John Owen (1616-1683   )

"Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place." - Jeremiah 22:3

Here are 2 sermons on Jeremiah 22:3:

Abortion: The Blood Cries Out, by Jeremy Walker
Justice and Secular Humanism, by Rev. Brian Schwertley

Note: If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible Daily.
