What is a Socialist?

An article in the New York Times, What’s a Socialist?,  asks the question "And what does it mean to be a Socialist these days, anyway?"  The article goes on to say:

"Not very much. Certainly nothing radical. In a sense, socialism was an ideology of the industrialized 19th century, a democratic Marxism, and it succeeded, even in (shh!) the United States. Socialism meant the emancipation of the working class and its transformation into the middle class; it championed social justice and a progressive tax system, and in that sense has largely done its job."

I would expect nothing less than this kind of description of Socialism from the New York Time.  But let's take another look at socialism, from a 'slightly' different point of view.  The point of view I'm refering to is found in Gary Allen's book, None Dare Call it Conspiracy, published in 1971.

The following quotes come from Chapter Two of None Dare Call it Conspiracy, which is titled: Socialism - Royal Road to Power for the Super Rich:

"Socialism is a philosophy which conspirators exploit, but in which only the naive believe. Just how finance capitalism is used as the anvil and Communism as the hammer to conquer the world will be explained in this book."

"In keeping with the fact that almost everybody seems to have his own definition of Communism, we are going to give you ours, and then we will attempt to prove to you that it is the only valid one. Communism: AN INTERNATIONAL, CONSPIRATORIAL DRIVE FOR POWER ON THE PART OF MEN IN HIGH PLACES WILLING TO USE ANY MEANS TO BRING ABOUT THEIR DESIRED AIM-GLOBAL CONQUEST."

"Unless we understand the conspiratorial nature of Communism, we don't understand it at all. We will be eternally fixated at the Gus Hall level of Communism. And that's not where it's at, baby!"

"The drive to establish SOCIALISM, not Communism, is at the core of everything the Communists and the Insiders do. Marx and all of his successors in the Communist movement have ordered their followers to work on building SOCIALISM. If you go to hear an official Communist speaker, he never mentions Communism. He will speak only of the struggle to complete the socialization of America. If you go to a Communist bookstore you will find that all of their literature pushes this theme. It does not call for the establishment of Communism, but SOCIALISM."

"Walter Trohan, columnist emeritus for the Chicago Tribune and one of America's outstanding political commentators, has accurately noted:
"It is a known fact that the policies of the government today, whether Republican or Democratic, are closer to the 1932 platform of the Communist Party than they are to either of their own party platforms in that critical year."

"And Mr. Trohan has also been led to believe that the trend is inevitable:
"Conservatives should be realistic enough to recognize that this country is going deeper into socialism and will see expansion of federal power, whether Republicans or Democrats are in power. The only comfort they may have is that the pace will be slower under Richard M. Nixon than it might have been under Hubert H. Humphrey…"
"Since all Communists and their Insider bosses are waging a constant struggle for SOCIALISM, let us define that term. Socialism is usually defined as government ownership and/or control over the basic means of production and distribution of goods and services. When analyzed this means government control over everything, including you. All controls are 'people' controls. If the government controls these areas it can eventually do just exactly as Marx set out to do - destroy the right to private property, eliminate the family and wipe out  religion."

"If one understands that socialism is not a share-the Wealth program, but is in reality a method to consolidate and control the wealth, then the seeming paradox of super-rich men promoting socialism becomes no paradox at all. Instead it becomes the logical, even the perfect tool of power-seeking megalomaniacs. Communism, or more accurately, socialism, is not a movement of the downtrodden masses, but of the economic elite. The plan of the conspirator Insiders then is to socialize the United States, not to Communize it."

Conspiracy? Agenda? Or God's Providence? Part II

"Between the alliance with France in the Revolutionary War in 1778 and the creation of NATO in 1949 , the United States did not enter a formal alliance with any country. Yet we are now treaty-bound to defend sixty nations on five continents..." (Day of Reckoning - How Hubris, Ideology, and Greed are Tearing America Apart, Patrick Buchanan, page 128)
I ended part 1 of this 2 part series by pointing out that our federal debt has gone from around $5 trillion dollars in 1998 to $16 trillion today.  And it is on track to reach $20 trillion by 2016.
I am not ashamed to say I belive in 'The conspiratorial theory of history.' It is the only thing that explains what is going on in America today. This theory says that the leaders of our country, especially on the national level, be they Republicans or Democrats, are, whether they know it or not, being controlled as puppets by very powerful men and women who operate a secret government bent on surrendering America's soverengnty to an all powerful world government under the United Nations.
I dare call it a conspiracy. Others call it an agenda. But ultimately, there is nothign going on in America today that has not been forordained by God in eternity.  A wealthy, prosperous and 'free' America has not produced a Christian Church that is holy and zealous of good works. A poor and persecuted church just might.
I think it is important to know about this conspiracy, if for no other reason than to be able to act as a responsible citicen and vote correctly (Hint: Those who hold to this 'conspiracy theory' are not going to vote for Romney or Obama. They will probably vote for Ron Paul, even though they know that Ron Paul has no chance of winning, unless the Lord works a miracle, which is always possible!)
In the mean time, why don't you listen to the following sermon preached by Dr. David Murray after Barak Obama was elected in 2008:

Conspiracy? Agenda? Or God's Providence? Part I

I'm not ashamed to admit I believe in a global conspiracy that is aimed at subjecting every country - America included - to the authority of an all powerful United Nations. I have believed this for the past 35 years or so.
My first exposure to the 'conspiratorial theory of history', came around 1980 with the reading of None Dare Call it Conspiracy, by Gary Allen.  Not too long after that I read The Naked Capitalist, by W. Cleon Skousen. This small book evaluates a much bigger book, Tragedy and Hope - a History of the world in our time, by Dr. Carroll Quigley,  which give very detailed information about this conspiracy.
After reading those two books I subscribed to American Opinion magazine for a year or two. This was the official magazine of the John Birch Society (you can follow them online, and I encourage you to do so, by going to www.thenewamerican.com).
Those were the main 'conspiracy' books, magazines I read up until I went to prison in 2001.  Between reading None Dare Call it Conspiracyand 2001, however I did read the newspapers. And the things that were talked about in those small books accurately explained and predicted what I was reading in the news almost on a daily basis.
In 2008 I was working as a chapel janitor for $50 a month in a private prison. I had been shipped out of state due to overcrowding. Maybe because it was a private prison, there seamed to be less scrutiny over the material that we were allowed to have in our chapel. One of the jobs I had as chapel janitor was to choose the over night program content for our chapel channel. We were allowed to play DVDs for the inmates to watch in their cells on one of the cable channels.
I took requests (although I irritated some Jehovah Witnesses for refusing to play their church videos on our channel!), but for the most part I picked out much of the content inmates watched from around 9 pm until the day time chapel clerks came in at 8 in the morning.
Some of the DVDs I played over the chapel channel included the Left Behind Series, Twice PardonedTeacher of the Year with Guy Dowd,The Cross and the SwitchbladeThey Sold their Souls for Rock and Roll, I also played many of the  DVDs from Dr. Walter Veith's Total Onslaught. Dr. Veith may be Seventh Day Adventist, I'm not sure. I was careful to weed out the DVDs where he taught Adventist doctrine. but Dr. Veight also firmly believes in the conspiratorial theory of history.
When I started my web site, I was determined - and I still am - to keep the focus of this site on spreading the Gospel of my Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.  But I admit, as the result of researching for this blog, and coming across so many news stories that fit right in with the 'conspiratorial theory of history' which I first read about in that 1971 book, None Dare Call it Conspiracy, I have devoted a lot of time in this blog to writing about this.
It was as the result of my researching for this blog that I came across sermons/audio messages by Dr. Phil Fernandes (New Technology and the Mark of the Beast) and Pastor Trevor Hammack (A New World Order defined). Dr. Fernandes strongly believes in the conspiratorial theory of history, and Pastor Hammack does not. But it was Pastor Hammack that introduced me to Alex Jones, Infowars and Prison Planet.
Pastor Hammack was trying to warn his listeners to stay clear of Alex Jones and his 'conspiracy nonsense' (or at least to take him with a grain of salt.).  Because I have believe in this 'conspiracy nonesense' for more than 30 years, his message had the opposite effect with me.  Today, Alex Jones Info Wars is one of the main sites I check on a daily basis when I update the news portion of this site (See Today in the News).
Brother Michael Flattery is another person who believes in the conspiratorial theory of history, and today I was listening a message by him titled Interview
with Ralph Epperson, the Luceferian Conspiracy for World Government. I had seen Ralph Epperson's a lot - I may have even quoted him on this site - without really knowing who he is. Now that I know who his is, and where his web site is (ralph-epperson.com), I expect I will be checking his site on a regular basis as I continue to maintain this site.
One final note. I like Pastor Hammack and listen to him frequently. I believe as time goes on he is going to agree that those who believe in the conspiratorial theory of history are correct. In his message The New World Order revealed he talks about dire predictions Alex Jones made in 1998 that never came true. But consider this. In 1998, the federal debt was around 5 trillion dollars. Today it is around $16 trillion, and the next 4 years are projected to take that up to $20 trillion.
If you hold to the conspiratorial theory of history, you believe that this is not an accident. this is planned destruction of our country.
