"Here is a visual of the hundreds of children that have been murdered in US drone strikes on Pakistan and Yemen, ordered by the president during his first term. But there is good news, at least for the millions who go to bed hungry. Our Lord Jesus said "To the poor the gospel is preached." (Matthew 11:5).  If you are poor, please take time right now to read Pastor Charles Spurgeon sermon, Preaching for the Poor.

You may also want to check out Ron Reed's 2 minute podcast on James 2:5: "Hath not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?"

As for Goldman Sachs, well, the news isn't quite so good. The Bible says:

"Go to now ye rich men, weep and howl for the miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankard; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Saving Those Damned Catholics!

Wait! I borrowed that title from Judie Brown, a Roman Catholic author. The full title of this book is: Saving Those Damned Catholics: A Defense of Catholic Teaching.

I came across this book several years back, though I haven't read it yet. But I came across it again today when I was doing my research for my feature, Today in the News.  One of the many web sites I check out for this feature is The Remnant, which is maintained by a group of conservative/orthodox Roman Catholics.

While Judie Brown defends the Catholic faith, I will let others defend the Protestant faith:
