"White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that the annual
Easter Egg Roll is going forward as planned -- provided Congress passes
and the president signs a bill funding the federal government past March
27. 'We are currently planning to proceed with the Easter Egg Roll,'
Carney said, noting that progress is being made on Capitol Hill to pass a
continuing resolution providing the funding.
'Nobody expects a government shutdown,' he said."
