I believe that scripture says that it’s a sin but I always follow that up by saying you know what, we’re not against anybody.' ... King enquired, 'Does gay marriage annoy you?" Osteen said, “It doesn’t annoy me. From a scripture point of view, it’s not what my faith would teach, but it doesn’t annoy me.'"

“Jesus bitched endlessly about the rich. It’s on every page – I’ve read his book – never said a word about homosexuality."

My response to Bill Maher:

First of all, he is incorrect that Jesus did not say anything about homosexuality. Bill Maher obviously has a 'red letter' edition of the Bible, where it has the words of Jesus in red. But this is a mistake. Our Lord Jesus is God, and the whole Bible - from Genesis to Revelation - is God's Word.

Second, I would grant Bill Maher this: Jesus did speak a lot of woes against the rich.  He did not say that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a homosexual to enter into the kingdom of heaven. (see Mark 10:25).  But he did say: "But woe unto you that are rich! For you have your consolation." (Luke 6:24)
