The Daily Spurgeon for Saturday, April 2, 2016

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"A servant was desired by his master to carry a present of fish to a friend, and to do it as quickly as possible. In all haste the man seized a basket, and set out; but when he reached his journey's end he became a laughing stock, for he had forgotten the fish: His basket was empty. Teacher! Preacher! Let this not happen to thee." -  Spurgeon's Sermon Notes

Joel Osteen Tells Larry King "Scripture Says Homosexuality is a Sin, But I Don't Want to Preach About It"

Joel Osteen Tells Larry King "Scripture Says Homosexuality is a Sin, But I Don't Want to Preach About It" - Huffingtonpost.com

Excerpt from this article:

"King asked Osteen, 'What are your views on homosexuality?' to which Osteen replied 'The same that they’ve been. I believe that scripture says that it’s a sin but I always follow that up by saying you know what, we’re not against anybody.' ... King enquired, 'Does gay marriage annoy you?" Osteen said, “It doesn’t annoy me. From a scripture point of view, it’s not what my faith would teach, but it doesn’t annoy me.'"

Do You Go to Joel Osteen's Church? Why?

Does it bother you that Joel Osteen has a big church? Does it bother you that he is on the radio? Does it bother you that he is on TV? Does it bother you that he publishes books? Well, it doesn't bother Mark Driscoll, but it bothers me. And it bothers Pastor Sean Harris as well. Please take time to hear this important podcast by Pastor Sean Harris:
