"Were you really surprised when you learned of the war initiated by Karl Rove against the TEA Party Movement and other conservatives within the ‘Grand Old Party’?  Doesn’t he dance at the direction of the same puppeteers that Obama and all of the other anti-conservatives do?  All his declaration of war does is confirm the depth of the elites and/or Communists within the Republican Party.  To paraphrase a playground
 song,
'Rove and Obama
Sitting in a tree,
K.I.S.S.I.N.G (puppeteers' butts),
First comes money,
Then comes votes,
Then comes citizen/taxpayers,
By their throats!'"

The Daily Spurgeon - February 5, 2013

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"And now the second point; it is a yet more terrible one to dwell upon, and if I consulted my own feelings I should not mention it; but we should not consider our feelings in the work of the ministry, any more than we should if we were physicians of men's bodies. We must sometimes use the knife, where we feel that mortification would not ensue without it. We must frequently make sharp gashes into men's consciences, in the hope that the Holy Spirit will bring them to life. We assert, then, that there is a NECESSITY that God should whet his sword and punish men, if they will not turn. Earnest Baxter used to say, 'Sinner, turn or burn! It is thine only alternative. TURN OR BURN!' And so it is. We think we can show you why men must turn, or else they must burn."   (Source Turn or Burn)

"Though I speak with the tongues of men of of angels, and have not charity, I am become as a sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal, and though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith so that I could remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing." - 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

From Greenland's Icy Mountains: Introducing SIM.org

One of the highlights of my day is checking the stats on this website (My Gospel Project) to see how many people have visited my site and from where.  Just within the past week I have had visitors from the United States, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, Malaysia, China, South Korea, and Italy.

Since I started My Gospel Project I have had people from over 70 countries around the world visit this site. (See What is My Gospel Project for a full list of countries this website has reached).

I don't say that to brag, but rather to encourage my readers to start their own 'Gospel Project.' My church supports a lot of missionaries around the world. Just this past week we heard from a husband and wife who were serving in Thailand through SIM.org (which stands for serving in Missions).  I was so impressed by the work they are doing over there I added SIM.org to my list of organizations that I ask my readers to donate to (along with Wycliffe Bible Translators and Sermonaudio.com).

We can't all be missionaries in foreign countries, but God helping us we can support them financially. And perhaps the Lord will lay it upon your heart to start a blog - maybe similar to this one, or maybe totally different. Either way, we have our Lord's promise that:

"My word shall not return to me void, but shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11

From Greenland's Icy mountains

From Greenland's icy mountains, from India's coral strand
Where Africa's sunny fountain, rolls down their golden sands,
From many an ancient river, from many a palmy plain
Christ calls us to deliver his lands from errors chains.

What though the spicy breezes blow soft o'er Ceylans Isle
Though every prospect pleases and only man is vile
In vain with lavish kindness, the gifts of God are strown
The heathen in his blindness bows down to wood and stone.

Shall we whose souls are lighted, with wisdom from on high
Shall we to men benighted, the lamp of life deny?
Salvation! O salvation, the joyful sound proclaim,
Till earth's remotest nation has learned Messiah's name.

Waft Waft ye winds his story, and you ye waters roll
Till like a sea of glory, it spreads from pole to pole.
Til o'er our ransomed nature, the Lamb for sinners slain,
Redeemer, King, Creator, in bliss returns to reign.

First get rid of the globalist elite who are conspiring to destroy America in favor of a one world government under the United Nations!

It's Superbowl Sunday! Did Your Team Win Today?

Today is Superbowl Sunday. Many Christians missed church today in order to watch the Superbowl game.  Some churches even canceled services today, or replaced them with 'Superbowl Parties.' But while some churches were cancelling services and some Christians were staying home from church to watch the Superbowl game, Sermonaudio.com posted 500 sermons on their site for today.

I've heard that the great scientist Albert Einstein once said that if Christians really believed what they teach they would all be running up and down the streets with their arms waving and shouting to warn the people.

One of my favorite Christian novelists is Frank Peretti. Two of his books that I love to recommend to people are This Present Darkness and the sequel to that book, Piercing the Darkness. These are novels about spiritual warfare.  The Bible says:

"Put on the whole amour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness  in high places." -Ephesians 6:11-12

I picture demons all over America, and even all over the world, whispering into the ears of sports fans telling them just how important this Superbowl game is.

One of the sermons that was preached today - and I strongly recommend that you drop what you are doing (unless what you are doing is going to church!) and listen to this sermon - is titled:

God's Great Reversal: The Warning and the Wonder of The Rich Man and Lazarus, by Pastor Brad Johnston

The Bible says:

"For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie, that they all might be damned that believe not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." - 2 Thessalonians 2:10,11

I don't know what this 'strong delusion' is that Paul was talking about in this verse. But the idea that football - even the Superbowl - is important enough to cancel or miss church just might fall into this category.

The Daily Spurgeon - February 3, 2013

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"Legal repentance makes us fear the wrath of God; evangelical repentance makes us fear the cause of that wrath, even sin. When a man repents with that grace of repentance which God the Spirit works in him, he repents not of the punishment which is to follow the deed, but of the deed itself; and he feels that if there were not a pit digged for the wicked, if there were no ever-gnawing worm, and no fire unquenchable, he would still hate sin. It is such repentance as this which every one of you must have, or else you will be lost. It must be a hatred of sin. Do not suppose, that because when you come to die you will be afraid of eternal torment, therefore that will be repentance. Every thief is afraid of the prison; but he will steal to-morrow if you set him free. Most men who have committed murder tremble at the sight of the gallows-tree, but they would do the deed again could they live. It is not the hatred of the punishment that is repentance; it is the hatred of the deed itself. Do you feel that you have such a repentance as that? If not, these thundering words must be preached to you again,—"If he turn not, he will whet his sword."   (Source Turn or Burn)

I Knew This Was Going to Happen! :)

I remember thinking when gas got up close to $4.00 a gallon last summer that it would likely come down quite a bit before the election - Obama wouldn't have much of a chance of getting reelected as long as gas was up close to $4.00 a gallon. But I also thought that after the election was over, the gas prices were going to go right back up to were they were before - or higher! It looks like I was right! (see Gas Prices to Top $4 Again).

The Invisible War - Raping the Home Team!

Enemies of the State: 45 Goals of the Communist Party, USA, in 1963

In his article Enemies of the Constitution, Alan Caruba talks about Constitutional scholar Louis Michael Seidman. Here is an excerpt from this article:

"Perhaps the stupidest idea given an airing in a recent edition of The New York Times is Prof. Louis Michael Seidman’s opinion, 'Let’s Give Up on the Constitution.' According to his commentary, Prof. Seidman has “taught constitutional law for almost 40 years” and he was 'ashamed' it took him that long to conclude that it was an outdated, “bizarre” document."

The main purpose of the constitution is to protect the citizens - from their government! That is why Obama's crusade to do away with the second amendment is so serious. It is much easier to take over a country when the citizens are unarmed (see What Happens When a Government Disarms its Citizens?)

Yesterday I did a post where I provide some links to W. Cleon Skousen's YouTube Videos The Naked Capitalist (See Debbie Schlussel Takes on Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, While Joseph Farah Takes on Fox News). I was surprised today to find an article that talked about The Naked Capitalist (the book that the videos were based upon). The article is titled America, You Were Warned 40 Years Ago!, by Dr. Steven Lambert.

Dr. Lambert just mentioned The Naked Capitalist, because that author had republished a document that was made public in 1963 by the Communist Party, USA titled: Goals of the Communist Party. Dr. Lambert claims, and I agree with him, that many - if not most - of these goals have already been accomplished. When conservatives accuse President Obama of being a Marxist, we are comparing his vision for America with these 45 stated goals of the Communist Party in 1963.

The Naked Capitalist was published in 1970. In 1971 another important book was written: None Dare Call it Conspiracy.  The author of this book was Gary Allen. Here is what Mr. Allen has to say about Communism:

"The first principle in any encounter, whether it be football or war (hot or cold), is: Know your enemy. The American people do not know their enemy. Consequently, it is not strange at all that for three decades we have been watching one country of the world after another fall behind the Communist curtain.
In keeping with the fact that almost everybody seems to have his own definition of Communism, we are going to give you ours, and then we will attempt to prove to you that it is the only valid one. Communism: AN INTERNATIONAL, CONSPIRATORIAL DRIVE FOR POWER ON THE PART OF MEN IN HIGH PLACES WILLING TO USE ANY MEANS TO BRING ABOUT THEIR DESIRED AIM-GLOBAL CONQUEST.
You will notice that we did not mention Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, bourgeois, proletariat or dialectical materialism. We said nothing of the pseudo-economics or political philosophy of the Communists. These are the TECHNIQUES of Communism and should not be confused with the Communist conspiracy itself. We did call it an international conspiratorial drive for power. Unless we understand the conspiratorial nature of Communism, we don't understand it at all. We will be eternally fixated at the Gus Hall level of Communism. And that's not where it's at, baby!"

The Daily Spurgeon - February 2, 2013

Quotes by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)

"I have often trembled at the thought that, here I am standing before you, and constantly engaged in the work of the ministry, and what if, when I die, I should be found unfaithful to your souls, how doleful will be our meeting in the world of spirits. It would be a dreadful thing if you were able to say to me in the world to come, 'Sir, you flattered us. You did not tell us of the solemnities of eternity; you did not rightly dwell upon the awful wrath of God. You spoke to us feebly and faintly; you were somewhat afraid of us; you knew we could not bear to hear of eternal torment, and therefore you kept it back and never mentioned it.'  Why, methinks you would look me in the face and curse me throughout eternity. If that should be my conduct. But by God's help it never shall be. Come fair or foul, when I die I shall, God helping me, be able to say, 'I am clear of the blood of all men,'"   (Source Turn or Burn)
