"Colleges Are Preparing Kids for an Economy that No Longer Exists" as They Continue to Scam Parents and Students

"Colleges Are Preparing Kids for an Economy that No Longer Exists" as They Continue to Scam Parents and Students - zerohedge.com

Excerpt from this article:

"As I sat down to enjoy some smoked salmon at a recent BBQ I attended, I ended up at a table with two recent high school graduates.  To my disappointment, when I asked them what their plans were for the summer and beyond, both said they were heading to college. With student loans and a wasteful four years in front of them, I couldn’t help but ask why.  Is there really anything that takes 4 to 8 years to learn or become an expert in? Seriously, what a waste of time. Even Ham, the first ape that went into space, only trained for 2 years."

Science Confirms Creation

Science Confirms Creation, [pdcast], by Jason Lisle, Ph,D.

"Dr. Lilse leads the Institute for Creation Research's team of scientists who continue to investigate and demonstrate the evidence for Creation. Dr. Lisle graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University, and he double majored in Physics and astronomy. So when they talk about something's not too difficult for rocket scientists, this is what they're talking about...He was instrumental in developing the Planetarium at the Creation Museum in Kentucky..."

A Musical Tribute to Canada Day

Although I'm an American, I love the Canadian National Anthem, O Canada. I especially love the the part that says "We stand on guard for you." Obviously, that is referring to Canada's mighty neighbor to the south!

Just kidding (sort of!). But here are 2 more of my favorite Canadian songs in remembrance of Canada Day:

The Story Behind Bobby Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe"

The Story Behind Bobby Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe" - performingsongwriter.com

Excerpt from this article:

"As Gentry told Fred Bronson, 'The song is sort of a study in unconscious cruelty. But everybody seems more concerned with what was thrown off the bridge than they are with the thoughtlessness of the people expressed in the song. What was thrown off the bridge really isn’t that important....the real message of the song, if there must be a message, revolves around the nonchalant way the family talks about the suicide. They sit there eating their peas and apple pie and talking, without even realizing that Billie Joe’s girlfriend is sitting at the table, a member of the family.'”

The Chemical Erin Brockovich Fought? You're Drinking It

The Chemical Erin Brockovich Fought? You're Drinking It, by wnd.com

Excerpt from this article:

"If chromium-6 rings a bell for some odd reason, that reason is likely Erin Brockovich, who famously helped secure a massive settlement for the Hinkley, Calif., residents who had been exposed to dangerous levels of the heavy metal. And there’s a chance you have been exposed, too, according to a report released Tuesday. The Environmental Working Group analyzed EPA-ordered samples taken by local water utilities from 2013 to 2015 and found that Americans—an estimated 218 million of them—in every single state are being exposed to what the study’s authors say are unsafe levels of the probable carcinogen."

If you're not up to speed on Erin Brockovich, perhaps you should take some time to watch Erin Brockovich, staring Julia Roberts.
