Read the Whole Bible in 2014! Friday, March 21, 2014

I'm going to try to read through the whole Bible this year. Why don't you join me? There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. The one I chose is Read the KJV Bible in One Year. So for today, let's read chapters 11 - 13 in the book of Hebrews.

Special verse(s):

Chapter 11

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:6

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." - Hebrews 11:6

"For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." - Hebrews 11:10

"Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season ..." -Hebrews 11:25

" ... and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection ..." - Hebrews 11:35

Chapter 12

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:1,2

"Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." - Hebrews 12:4

"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." - Hebrews 12:11

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord..." - Hebrews 12:14

"For our God is a consuming fire." - Hebrews 12:29

Chapter 13

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." - Hebrews 13:5,6

" Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." - Hebrews 13:8

"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." - Hebrews 13:17
Note: If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible
