Jenifer Louise Lopez Asks Anti-Gay Harlem Church to Stone Her - huffingtonpost.com
Excerpt from this article:
"When Jennifer Louise Lopez first saw the horrific anti-gay sign go up on The ATLAH Worldwide Missionary Church in her neighborhood in Harlem, she knew she had to take action....the church made headlines in late February when religious leaders posted a polarizing sign that read "Obama has released the homo demons on the black man. Look out black woman. A white homo may take your man." The church then later replaced the sign with one that read "Jesus would stone homos,' ... .In response, Lopez knocked on the church's front door this week and informed the man who answered that she was there for her stoning. 'I saw your sign and I'm here for my stoning, I'm a lesbian...'""

There is a (very irreverent!) joke, based on John 8, where Jesus is brought a woman caught in the act of adultery. The religious rulers tell Jesus the law says she should be stoned. Jesus answers and says "He that is without sin cast the first stone."
Everyone in the crowd looks down at their feet in silence, and then a woman comes through the crowd with a giant rock over her head and crushes the lady's head in, killing her on the spot. Then Jesus says, "You know mom, sometimes you really piss me off!"
Homosexuality, like a great many other sins in the Bible, is wrong and Christians need to speak out against it. But not after the fashion of the Westboro Baptist cult. The same apostle Paul who wrote Romans 1:26 &27 also said:
"(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)"
I believe that if Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon were alive today, he would preach a sermon titled: Ye Men of the Westboro Baptist Church: Turn or Burn!
