I'm going to try to read through the whole Bible this year. Why don't
you join me? There are many different websites that offer reading plans
to read the Bible in a year. The one I chose is Read the KJV Bible in One Year. So for today, let's read chapter 26 in the book of Matthew.
Special verse(s):
"Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." - Matthew 26:41
"There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box full of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? For she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her." - Matthew 26:7-13
Note:
If you have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible
to read along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one of which is an audio version of the Bible!
