There are many different websites that offer reading plans to read the Bible in a year. Here is a really good one: Read the KJV Bible in One Year. For today, why don't you read along with me Chapters 90-95
in the book of Psalms. (Note: The Psalms are not actually divided into
'chapters'. The Psalms were the hymnbook of the Jewish people 3000 years
ago. But they still speak to us today!)
Special Verses:
"Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance." - Psalms 90:8
"So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." - Psalms 90:12
"He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity." - Psalms 94:9-11
Here is a hymn based on Psalm 95:
Now with Joyful Exultation
You may recognize the tune from another great hymn: Love Divine All Loves Excelling!
Note: If you
have a reading disability that makes it difficult or impossible to read
along with me this year, please consider going to Biblegateway.com and
listening to the Bible. This is a great site with many resources, one
of which is an audio version of the Bible Daily.
