Should Christians Hate Homosexuals?

Absolutely not! Just because Christians believe the Bible, and the Bible calls homosexuality a sin, does not mean we should hate them. It means we should pray for them. And if they want to sue us for not backing a cake or taking pictures for their wedding, let them do so.  As the great Reformer Martin Luther wrote:

"Let goods and kindred go,
this mortal life also.
The body they may kill,
God's truth abideth still.
His kingdom is forever."
(A Mighty Fortress Is Our God)

And as Our Lord Jesus says:

^"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." - Matthew 5:10-12

The Christian's attitude toward homosexuals can be summed up in the following quote by Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892):

"If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they will perish, let them perish with our arms around their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned and unprayed for."

Supreme Court To America: "Your Problem Is That You Are Looking To the Constitution When You Should Be Looking To Barack Obama!"

There was a time when the crazed cult leader, Jim Jones thew the Bible on the floor and said, "You need to stop looking to this book and start looking to me."

That was a critical point in Jim Jones "Ministry" (And I put Ministry in quotations for a reason!). Every true born again Christian (there are no other kind) immediately got up and left. Or they would have if left if the Holy Ghost was dwelling in their heart.

And every true American Who heard the Supreme Court's ruling ion gay marriage is going to reject it - no matter what the cost.

Although the times are a little different now than they were in the 1500s, the following quote from Charles Surgeon seams appropriate:

I  think the following quote from Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) is appropriate:

"We admire a man who was firm in the faith, say four hundred years ago...but such a man today is a nuisance, and must be put down.  Call him a narrow-minded bigot, or give him a worse name if you can think of one.  Yet imagine that in those ages past, Luther, Zwingli, Calvin, and their compeers had said, "The world is out of order; but if we try to set it right we shall only make a great row, and get ourselves into disgrace.  Let us go to our chambers, put on our night-caps, and sleep over the bad times, and perhaps when we wake up things will have grown better."  Such conduct on their part would have entailed upon us a heritage of error.  Age after age would have gone down into the infernal deeps, and the pestiferous gobs of error would have swallowed all.  These men loved the faith and the name of Jesus too well to see them trampled on...

It is today as it was in the Reformer's days.  Decision is needed.  Here is the day for the man, where is the man for the day?  We who have had the gospel passed to us by martyr hands dare not trifle with it, nor sit by and hear it denied by traitor, who pretend to love it, but inwardly abhor every line of it...Look you, sirs, there are ages yet to come.  If the Lord does not speedily appear, there will come another generation, and another, and all these generations will be tainted and injured if we are not faithful to God and to His truth today.  We have come to a turning-point in the road.  If we turn to the right, mayhap our children and our children's children will go that way; but if we turn to the left, generations yet unborn will curse our names for having been unfaithful to God and to His Word." (Source)

 God bless the (former) county clerks in Decatur County. They are setting an example for the rest of us o follow. I can see a day in the near future that the following question will appear on job applications:

 Do you support Gay Marriage? 

And if you don't answer that question correctly (according to this godless society), you are not even going to get asked to interview for the job.

The Bible says (and I'm paraphrasing it just  bit to fit the times we live in:

"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself by supporting gay marriage or doing anything that would imply you support it (such as issuing a 'marriage' licence to persons of the same sex)." - Daniel 1:8
