Conspiracy Theory 101

One the features I have on My Gospel Project  is Today in the News. This is sort of my version of the Drudge Report! This is a daily post I do where I scan some of the most popular news sites - excuse me, important news sites (there's a difference!), and provide links to stories that I think my readers will find interesting.

Six of the main sites that I check out for my Today in the News feature are: Infowars, The New American, Canada Free Press, WND News, The Blaze,  and of course, The Drudge Report! Occasionally, I will check out CNN and Fox News, but not often.

Infowars is produced by Alex Jones and The New American is associated with The John Birch Society. I do not subscribe to either of these websites, but I do believe in the main conspiracy theory that they promote.

The purpose of this website, My Gospel Project, is to point people to our Lord Jesus, not to delve into conspiracy theories and politics. And yet...well, let's just say that I blog about what I feel the Lord lays on my heart. And when I read the headlines and compare what I've read with what Gary Allen wrote 40 years ago (None Dare Call it Conspiracy), well, it's hard not to allow this conspiracy theory to creep into this website from time to time.

But since there are a lot of conspiracy theories out there - and most of them are probably rubbish - I want to clarify just what I mean by conspiracy theory, or what Gary Allen calls the conspiratorial  theory of history.

To do so I'm going to provide a link to Gary Allen's book: None Dare Call it Conspiracy, published in 1971, and to 6 You Tube videos by Cleon Skousen titled he Naked Capitalist (based on the book published by that name in 1970):

'The Naked Capitalist, Part 1 by W. Cleon Skousen
'The Naked Capitalist, Part 2 by W. Cleon Skousen
'The Naked Capitalist, Part 3 by W. Cleon Skousen
'The Naked Capitalist, Part 4 by W. Cleon Skousen
'The Naked Capitalist, Part 5 by W. Cleon Skousen
'The Naked Capitalist, Part 6 by W. Cleon Skousen

Note: Before deciding to dismiss this conspiracy as nonsense, check out the following two links. These have to do with the Council on Foreign Relations, which both Gary Allen and Cleon Skousen wrote about 40 years ago as being 'the secret government that controls America:
