It takes a lot of faith to believe in evolution. I have long thought - and still believe this - that the one irrefutable argument against evolution is the genetic code: DNA and RNA (please listen to Astonishing DNA Complexity Demolishes Neo-Darwinism, by Alex Williams). But a close second is enzymes.

Those who teach evolution say that with enough time anything is possible. Put 100 monkeys in front of 100 typewriters for a billion years and they will eventually write Shakespeare, or so they say! But "time" is not a friend of evolution (see Time: No Friend to Evolution, by David Catchpoole). Here is an interesting article on how long it would take for a biological reaction to occur without the aid of enzymes:

As I've said in previous blog posts, I can understand why public school teachers and college professors teach evolution. They have bills to pay and careers to look after. Being true to their calling of searching for truth and knowledge is not as important as watching over their bank account. But what I can't understand is why their students don't have absolute contempt for them and close their ears (and minds) every time they speak!

There is coming a day - maybe many years before 2020 - when the number of atheists in the world will equal zero percent! The Bible says::

"...at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." - Philippians 2:10,11

I love science. And I love our Lord Jesus Christ, the creator of science. If you took all that man has learned as of July 6, 2013, and compared it to what Jesus knows, it would be like taking one small drop of water and placing it next to all of the oceans in the world.

One day all those who love our Lord Jesus and look to him and his shed blood on the cross for their salvation will be able to sit at his feet and learn all of the mysteries of the universe. What I like best about Ken Ham is that he still accepts the Bible as the final authority on matters of science. Would that all Christians followed his lead. His speech, Six Days and the Eisegesis Problem should be required listening for every student in Bible colleges around the world. "For in Six Days the Lord Created the Heavens and the Earth" - Exodus 20:11

The 'God Particle,' or as scientist call it, Higgs Boson, is in the news again today (see New Evidence Strengthens Case that Scientists Have Discovered a Higgs Boson ). It has been called The God Particle because some believe it is what caused the 'Big Bang' to occur some 15 billion years ago.

Perhaps some definitions are in order:

Big Bang Theory: "In the begining there was nothing. Then nothing exploded, and created everything we see." That is the Big Bang theory in a nut shell.

Higgs Boson (aka The God Particle): Is the 'Nothing' that exploded!

Or something like that!

I believe in the Big Bang, and it's not a theory. Some time around 6 to 10 thousand years ago, God Spoke, and "Bang!" everything we see came into existence! Actually, while God could have done that in less than a second, he chose to take 6 literal, 24-hour days to do it.

Welcome to the Flat Earth Society!

Yes, there is a Flat Earth Society. Here is how Flat Earth Wiki describes their website:

"This website is dedicated to unraveling the true mysteries of the universe and demonstrating that the earth is flat and that Round Earth doctrine is little more than an elaborate hoax."

Apparently, the members of the Flat Earth Society haven't heard Stanly Freberg's song, It's A Round Round World!

It is a myth that Christians used to believe the world was flat prior to Columbus. Here is what Jeffrey Burton Russell has to say about this myth:

"No doubt some Christians did believe the Earth was flat, but not any educated people. A flat Earth seams to have been commonly believed in very ancient times. The ancient Egyptians believed the Earth was flat. But most Greek and Roman philosophers and geographers - for example, Pythagoras (570-495 B.C.), Eratosthenes (276-194 B.C.), and Ptolemy (A.D. 85-165) - were confident that the Earth was round. Eratosthenes even measured its circumference to within 15 percent of the modern figure. So what happened? Did Christianity take over and suppress this ancient knowledge? Not at all. Over a hundred Christian writers discussed the shape of the Earth from the third to the fifteenth century A.D. During this time, a period of twelve hundred years, there were just two who asserted the Earth was flat and more than a hundred that asserted it was round." The Bible never says the Earth is flat. To the contrary, in Isaiah 40:22 the biblical writer talks about 'he that sitteth on the circle of the Earth."

The day will come when all myths will be exposed - including the myth that the earth was formed by some Big Bang 15 billion years ago. The Bible says: "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth." - Genesis 1:1.

The Cambrian Explosian - The Evolutionist's Worst Nightmare!

I recently watched a You Tube video titled: History of the World in 2 Hours. Since this video started off talking about the Big Bang theory, I decided to take that opportunity to blog about it (See The Big Bang Theory - Debunked!).

In this post I am going to take on another part of this video where they talk about the "Cambrian Explosion." Here is how the History of the World in 2 Hours portrays The Cambrian Explosion:

"Five hundred and fifty million years ago as the planet was celebrating its 4 billionth birthday, oxygen levels in the atmosphere have risen from next to nothing to as much as 13%. Take a deep breath because life on earth is about to go wild. This is the Cambrian Explosion, biology's version of the Big Bang. Right after you get oxygen, you get size and complexity, and oxygen lets you do that. It's in this breath taking span of roughly 30 million years that most of the major animal groups evolve. By 500 million years ago the first bony fish evolve in the seas. These fish are our direct ancestors." (Emphasis mine).

Evolutionist would have you believe that life on earth can be portrayed as a tree, with all life coming from a single ancestor. They refer to this as the Last Universal Common Ancestor (LUCA). Here is how Wikipedia describes this:

"The last universal common ancestor...is the most recent organism from which all organisms now living on earth descended."

The Cambrian Explosion totally destroys the myth of LUCA. Life on earth can be represented by a tree, but only one that is upside down. What the Cambrian Explosion says is that most (all!) forms of life came into existence at the same time. That is not what you would expect to see if evolution were true.

And the fossil record totally supports the biblical account of creation. There is no evidence anywhere that shows how a fish evolved into a bird or a monkey evolved into a man.
