Ford to cut hundreds of jobs in Europe

The Bible says: "If a man will not work, neither shall he eat." - II Thessalonians 3:10. But many people today want to work - but they can't find a job.  According to an article in CNNMoney, the auto company Ford to cut hundreds of jobs in Europe.

It saddens me when I think of the hundreds of people in Europe who are going to lose their jobs. People need to  provide for their needs in Europe, just as they do in America. But a part of me is asking the question, why is Ford building plants in other countries and hiring non Americans, when there is so much unemployment in our own country.

One explanation is that it has to do with free trade - when our countries lay off workers in America and set up shot in other countries, the other countries turn around and buy more products from America, which stimulates  our economy and everyone benefits in the long run.
